Our guides will tell you how the power plant was operated, how it functioned and how it might have been as a workplace. With the aid of our miniature power plant we demonstrate production of electrical power as it once was produced at Vemork.

They will also inform you about how Vemork acquired the first facility in the world for industrial production of heavy water. And last, but not least, the 4 heavy water operations launched by allied forces during WWII. With the orientation we wish to excite our visitor and raise their lust to learn more about the topics we present and have a look at our exhibitions. We give our guides the best training we can offer so that they will be able to present the story in a well-preformed and interesting manner.

The orientations initiate from the reception every hour between 11:00 and 16:00 in the summer season, and will be announced over speakers in advance. Each orientation lasts about 30 minutes and you can join in at any time. Our guides are very helpful and will take time to answer questions during and after the orientation. The orientations are primarily in Norwegian, but when required our guides will be capable of doing English orientations. There is no extra fee to join the orientation.
