Several of the saboteurs talk about their roles and experiences from what would become one of the war’s most famous sabotage operations. In addition you will be able to see video footage from the film “The Heavy Water Sabotage” from 1948, which was the first adaption of the heavy water operations at Vemork.

In addition to comment on the raids the documentary raises the question of what could have happened if Hitler-Germany had managed to develop a nuclear weapon. The events at Vemork are thus put into an international context. The film is an exciting supplement to our exhibition “The Atom Race”, which also puts the operations in an international light.

The film starts every half hour (13:00, 13:30 etc.) and is approximately 25 minutes, we advise all our visitors to have a look at this insightful documentary.
